DRESSING CHAIR
Dressing Chair explores an alternative approach to upholstered furniture, rethinking how form can emerge through process rather than molds.
Developed around a simple relationship between foam and bent metal, the project introduces a flexible construction system where a rectangular foam body is gently shaped by its frame. Like clothing draped around the body, different metal structures create distinct silhouettes, allowing the chair to transform through subtle adjustments in length, proportion, and curvature.
The project creates a manufacturing method that is both precise and adaptable, opening new possibilities for soft furniture while celebrating the expressive dialogue between structure and surface.
